Extra fun
Me on the set of Convex, a student independent project I worked on last september. Part of being a production assistant means you'll have to play an extra if needed. I personally loved watching the crew set up every shot while I had my makeup done and put in costume. This costume was designed for a party scene in which the lead actor was trying to make his way through a crowd of people dancing and lusting over him.
Walk On: The Pre-Interview
Before we could even imagine what our documentary Walk On was going to be about, my team decided to do a pre-interview of Nancy Winkleman the program director of FTEA. Friends for Therapeutic Equine Activities is a non profit organization in Winfield, Illinois. The organization is designed to help people with disabilities through horse therapy. The riding stable is small, but we managed to capture a great story about a young blind boy whose bravery got us nominated to go to Take 1 film festival.
Film school at it's best
Using the light meter to find focus for this project in Moving image production. Each group had to use the same script, props, and set design to come up with different ways of telling the story.
TV majors
Working on a TV project in the south suburbs of Chicago. Angel Orozco (wearing the hat and glasses) is director and lead actor in his short comedy about a breakup. Austin Gustafson is on the camera and Eric Griggs acting alongside Angel. Only camera sound on this project since the TV department gave us a broken nagra.
